Primary pupils at Chetwynde School showcased their creative talents when they took part in an Easter competition.
Younger pupils were tasked with decorating an Easter bonnet while Years 3-6 created scenes with decorated eggs.
The competition was judged by Kathryn Kittley, director of marketing and communications at the South Cumbria Multi Academy Trust, which Chetwynde joined at the start of the academic year.
She said: “I was blown away by the vibrance and range of the pupils’ entries and the huge effort they had put in. There were some very stylish and colourful bonnets and great themes for the decorated egg scenes.”
The decorated egg scene winners entries ranged from a We Will Rock You set, tying in to the school’s recent musical production, to an aeroplane scene marking the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War.
The winners were presented with prizes in their school assembly.
