TRANSPORT police were called last night after four children were seen climbing a signal post near Barrow.
According to BTP Lancashire, they received reports that four children, aged around 10-years-old, had climbed a train signal post near the town.
Once on the scene, officers discovered damage including two bulbs and one lens that had put the signal out of action and resulted in delays to services.
A BTP Lancashire spokesman said: “Report received of four children, aged around 10-years-old, climbing a signal post near Barrow-in-Furness.
“Officers attended with Network Rail Incident Response and found that two bulbs and one lens had been damaged, putting the signal out of action and delaying train services.”
