A DARING couple donned their wedding outfits for the second time to mark their fourth anniversary thousands of feet up high.

Mark Pickthall, 30, an agricultural builder from New Hutton married Kelly Atkinson, 26, a hairdresser from Endmoor back in 2018.

The couple met whilst Mark was siloing on Kelly’s family’s farm and quickly became friends.

"We just have the same banter," said Mrs Pickthall.

In 2016, the pair became pregnant with their first daughter and enjoyed some fireworks with friends in the garden.

It was here that Mark dropped to one knee in the rain and asked the all-important question.

The smitten pair said 'I do' at Preston Patrick Church then enjoyed a reception at the Castle Green Hotel on April 7 2018 in front of 100 people.

The church was particularly special to Mrs Pickthall, whose parents and grandparents had both married there.

"It was a wet day," she said.

"Just as we were leaving for the church the rain started. It didn’t change our day!

"The church service was perfect, my parents and grandparents got married there so it meant a lot to me.

"Castle green made the reception amazing from the wedding breakfast to the evening food - it was fabulous."

The newlyweds enjoyed a stay at the Daffodil Hotel after tying the knot.

To celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary, the pair decided to don their outfits for the second time and walk up Heron Pike for a photo shoot.

Mrs Pickthall said: "After attending a friend's wedding we loved their photos so much we looked into their photographer and saw he did after wedding shoots where you can have more photos in your wedding clothes or even trash your dress.

"We always said about doing it so booked a shoot.

"We did it the day after our four wedding anniversary and what a day we had.

"It was just beautiful!

"We walked up Heron Pike, just below Sheffield pike. It was a cold but lovely dry morning.

"Once we got to the top the view were just breathtaking! We knew the walk was worth it all.

"We’re not a photo couple but we just had a laugh and the photographer Joshua got some amazing photos for us.

"On the way down we saw a few walkers who were surprised to see a couple suited and booted walking back down.

"For anyone thinking of putting their dress back on for more photos we definitely recommend it!"
