THE Rotary Club of Furness and the Barrow Male Voice Choir are holding a concert to raise funds for the people who are affected by the war in Ukraine.
As well as the Male Voice Choir there will be the Ghyll Singers from Ulverston and Dalton Town Band.
The concert will take place on April 20 at St Mary’s Church, Duke Street, Barrow, at 7pm.
Tickets cost £10 each and are available from St Mary’s Church Office, members of the Male Voice Choir, the Ghyll Singers and Dalton Town Band.
The Rotary Club of Furness has a link with the Rotary Club of Warsaw Wilanow which provides medical and humanitarian support to people in Ukraine through the Rotary Club of Lviv.
They are also providing support to the refugees in Poland from the Ukraine. Already they have, with their Rotarian friends in Germany, organised medical supplies to be taken from Germany directly to Lviv.
The supplies are for local hospitals caring for civilians and soldiers who have been wounded in the attacks.
All monies raised at the concert will be sent to the Rotary Club of Warsaw Wilanow to support the people of the Ukraine.
