RESIDENTS have praised two Barrow sisters and business women who have raised an impressive amount of money for Ukraine.
Susan and Carole Dunn are the co-owners of the Dunn’s Trimming Stall and have operated out of the Barrow Market Hall for the past 48 years.
The two sisters, who are known for their haberdashery products, have been praised for their efforts in support of the people of Ukraine by adding to the donation appeal set up by Natwest.
Susan and Carole have spent their days making poignant blue and yellow ribbons which will be used to provide funds for the appeal.
The two sisters received a lot of praise on social media over the weekend.
Julia Sharpe said: "Well done ladies. You’re amazing!"
Jacqui Armstrong said: "Incredibly proud of Susan and Carole! They have such a caring nature and they found a wonderful way to support the refugees and raising so much money! I hope the final total reaches £2,000.
Jacqui added: "You can bring your donations of clothing, rucksacks, footwear and toiletries to Stall 106/108 in Barrow Market Hall. We cannot accept medication. Thank you."

Susan said: “We got a lot of very generous donations from the beginning and since then it's been growing.
“After making the ribbons, the money from every single one we sold goes straight into the appeal. After four and a half days we got over one thousand pounds."
