A MULTI-AGENCY team is keen to improve the reputation of Egerton Court in Barrow by engaging with residents and assisting them in their problems.
In a busy month of StreetSafe initiatives, PC Liam Oliver organised an engagement event in around the Egerton Court flats on Barrow Island.
The event was hailed as a huge success, with the residents keen to engage with police, fire service, Cumbria County Council and other volunteer agencies.
PC Oliver would like to thank the Egerton Court multi-agency team who assisted in organising this event.
He said: "In the past 12 months we have worked closely with the landlords of the flats and have been proactive in our approach to tackle issues in the area.
"The team are keen to improve the reputation of the area by listening to the residents and assisting them in their problems, as well as signposting them to the many community initiatives being put in place.
"We were assisted greatly by volunteers from The Well, who brought their 'Brew Bus' to the court in order that residents could come and have a chat.
"Every flat was visited and relevant information for partner agencies was gained, with the sole aim of improving the quality of life of the residents of Egerton Court."
