READERS have expressed their well wishes towards a long standing member of the Barrow Market community.
Tom Robson, owner of Robson’s Market Stall, is set to retire this week.
This means that it is the end of the family-run business that has spanned four generations, serving the Barrow community for the last 105 years.
Started by his father, Tom Robson would work at the stall after school before ultimately taking over the business.
Mr Robson has seen many businesses come and go over the years, and will miss the sense of community that comes with being a Barrow market trader.
He said: "It is a shame that there isn't 100 per cent of the stalls left open now but that's just the way of the world now, isn't it?
"I think there is only myself, Harts and Dunns Trimming Stall that moved from the old market place.
"What I will miss the most is the company of all the other traders, and the loyal customers who come down to have a chat with us."
Readers have expressed how much they will miss the stall, which has always been a staple of the trader scene.
Linda Laing said: “Awww I loved that stall. Xx”

Janet Poskitt said: “Enjoy your retirement you’ve earned it.”
