AN ORMSGILL group is preparing to host 'hopefully the first of many' community meetings.
Ormsgill Stronger Together is bringing together 'people that can help' the community to deal with issues within the Ormsgill community.
A spokesman said: "We have been wanting to do this for some time but under the circumstances it just hasn't been possible.
"We live on the estate, we know people are having issues. Unfortunately we don't hold the power to sort them for you, nor is it our responsibility as volunteers. What we can do, is bring together the people that can help."
The meeting will take place on March 2 at 5.30pm at Ormsgill Community Centre.
Those in attendance will include Cumbria County Council, Barrow Borough Council, Cumbria Police, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and Drop Zone.
