A BARROW showroom has celebrated its 35th anniversary in the business of interior design and fitting.
Mike Hughes Fitted Interiors marked the day on Friday, February 11, 35 years to the day when Mr Hughes and his wife Ann launched the company.
The business is a family run enterprise which also sees Mike and Ann working with their daughter Rebecca as their Showroom Manager.
Each have their own roles and bring together the Customer Service Mike Hughes Fitted Interiors has built its reputation on.
They have so many returning customers, who either want another project doing or have moved and want something with a fresh new look.
Located on Park Road, their showroom in the Retail Park of Barrow offers two floors of kitchen and bedroom sets, as well as numerous other features including walk in wardrobes and designs aimed at family living.
Mike and Anne remain at helm of the business and use their knowledge and expertise in the industry to lead the specialist retailer.
Over the years the company has created thousands of kitchens and bedrooms for the community.
Ann said: “It’s been a rollercoaster 35 years for us. It’s been a challenge but we would do it all again.
“Mike started the business off working from home 35 years ago and we’ve really enjoyed our time in it.
“We’ve done work on thousands of homes and we’ve met hundreds of people.
“Mike was originally from Askam but we got married in Barrow and that’s where we are today.
“We started out with just kitchen spaces, but over the years we’ve expanded to make bedrooms and living spaces.
“We’ve got a great team behind us and we’re excited for many more years.”
The showroom is Open by Appointment only, which allows customers their own time to view the showroom and discuss their project with Mike or a Designer undisturbed, in a safe space.
They are open Monday to Friday and Opening Hours can be extended on those day for customers convenience if required.
