A SUPERMARKET has recalled food items due to a safety risk.
Tesco is the latest supermarket to recall a product that can cause harm to customers if used.
The PMS Naughty Elf Projector Torch with Six Assorted Lenses Two-pack is being withdrawn because there is a chance the torch could overheat.
In a statement to customers, Tesco said: “We’ve been made aware that PMS International are recalling their Naughty Elf Projector Torch with Six Assorted Lenses Two-pack.
“This is due to a short circuit that may cause the torch to overheat when it’s used.”
Tesco also recalled packs of popular crisps last week.
The supermarket issued a food recall on Walkers mince pie flavour crisps.
The crisps, which came in a pack of five, were withdrawn from shelves due to them containing an ingredient not mentioned on the label.
Tesco said: “PepsiCo is recalling their Walkers mince pie flavour crisps five x 25g multipack.
“This is because milk isn’t declared in the ingredients list, although it is included in the precautionary allergen labelling for milk.
“This means it’s a potential risk to people with a milk allergy.
“No other Walkers products are affected.”
All date codes of the mince pie crisps are affected.
Tesco added: “If you’ve bought the affected crisps and have an allergy to milk or an intolerance to lactose, please don’t eat them.
“Instead, call the PepsiCo on 0800 274 777 to receive a full refund (calls from UK landlines are free, mobile charges will vary)."
