A MOUNTAIN rescue team was called out to a woman in need of urgent medical attention.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team attended an incident at 7.30am on Friday in Coniston following a request from NWAS.
Rescue teams assisted with the extraction of the woman from her flat to an ambulance.
A spokesman for CMRT said: "On a cold, foggy morning, we were asked to assist NWAS with the extraction of a lady from her flat to a land ambulance, since she needed urgent medical attention.
"Four team members attended (as this was not a standard rescue requiring many members) and it took one to two hours."
