A BARROW man is due to face court after denying assault.

Jordan Myles Clarke, of Egerton Court, has been accused of assaulting a woman in Barrow on December 4 while subject to a suspended sentence and restraining order, South Cumbria Magistrates' Court was told.

Mr Clarke also allegedly attended the victim's address when prohibited from doing so by a restraining order on the same date.

The 26-year-old pleaded not guilty to the offences on December 10 and was admitted into custody ahead of the next court hearing on December 16.
