SOUTH Lakes MP Tim Farron is hosting a farmers Q&A.
On November 5, farmers will be given the opportunity to quiz the MP and representatives from DEFRA and the Rural Payments Agency at a special event.
The session will take place at the Rural Auction Centre at Junction 36 from 4.30pm-6.30pm.
Mr Farron will be joined by Paul Caldwell, the Chief Executive of the Rural Payments Agency (RPA), Sandy Kapila, Head of External Affairs at the RPA, and Louise Maguire from DEFRA’s Future Farming & Countryside Programme.
“I’m delighted to be hosting this special Q&A event next week," said Mr Farron.
“There has never been a more uncertain time for British and Cumbrian farming and so this will be a great opportunity for local farmers to put their questions and concerns to representatives from DEFRA and the RPA.”
