KIRKBY Lonsdale’s Rugby Club recently took part in the Promises Auction that raised important funds for charity.
The event raised raised £1600 for local causes.
Club President Liz Burke presented cheques to representatives from North West Air Ambulance & Kirkby's own Community Kitchen.
Both services have been heavily ingrained into the community, who showed their gratitude by pledging their support to both organisations.
The presentation was following on from a Charity auction held at the Rugby Club and the proceeds were split between the North West Air Ambulance and the Kirkby Lonsdale Covid support Hub which supports local Individuals and families with affordable meals and food supplies as well as community lunches .
Present at the event were David Anderson, chairman of Kirkby Community Centre, Liz Burke President of Kirkby Rugby Club, John Townson Past President Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club, and Mrs Burrows North West Air Ambulance.
