A CLIMBING wall has temporarily closed its doors to prepare for its first birthday party.
The Wall in Ulverston closed yesterday and will remain closed until Thursday to prepare for the relaunch, birthday party and start of the Winter Bouldering League on October 1.
A spokesman for The Wall said: "We've got a team of world-class setters coming in from around the country on both days and we can't wait for you to see what's in store.
"Climbing slots for the birthday party and tickets for the after party are starting to go fast, so get yours sorted as soon as possible.
"To show our appreciation for being part of our community, members climb free at the birthday party and tickets to the after party are free. Juniors are allowed in until 6pm.
"After you've climbed, there will be free alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available. And of course cake. Feel free to bring your own beer too.
"We hope you'll join us in celebrating our first lap around the sun."
Organisers are asking those attending the event to click 'going' at https://fb.me/e/N5cZF9Ww.
