JUBILATION has ensued after Ant and Dec's new TV show has been cancelled by the BBC.

Despite recently winning Best TV Presenter at the National TV Awards for the 20th time, readers didn't seem excited by the new show.

The BBC has reportedly decided to cancel the new Street Car Showdown before making it onto our TV screens.

Vicki Thompson said: "And this is what they've done by charging the over 75s their licence fee. Produced a show never to be aired."

Christine Adams said: "Thank God for that. I was beginning to think that I was the only one who has no time for this untalented duo - what people see in them & why they vote for them is bewildering."

Josie Fallows said: "They do the same things that others did years ago nothing new at all and to keep winning an award every year. l better keep my mouth shut!"

Lee Wicks said: "Might allow for a couple of other people starting out who need the money."

Chris Keatley said: "Pity ITV don't do the same. Time for some new faces on TV."

"There is a god," joked Claire Martin.

Mark Starling said: "Haha not one nice comment about it. That should show how funny they are."

However, there was one comment in support of them.

Lukas Brown said: "Christ, so much negativity towards a duo who win every year awards. They light up people's lives. Some people must like them, get a grip people."

The Geordie duo are know for their work on ITV hits Britain’s Got Talent, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

The new show would have been their first return to the BBC for more than 30 years since they first met on the set of Byker Grove.
