The Azores, Switzerland, Denmark and Canada are among seven locations being moved to the UK green list, the Department for Transport said.
Countries added to UK green travel list
Canada, Denmark, Finland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Switzerland, and the Azores will be added to the green list from 4am on 30 August.
The update means anyone travelling to these countries will not need to isolate when returning to the UK regardless of whether or not they are fully vaccinated.
They will however need to take a pre-departure test before returning to the UK and another two days after landing.
Countries added to UK green travel list
Meanwhile, Thailand and Montenegro are being added to the Government’s red travel list.
Anyone travelling from red list countries will need to pay more than £2,000 to isolate for 11 days in a hotel.
A statement from the Department of Transport said: "The high rates combined with lower levels of published genomic surveillance in Thailand and Montenegro than other countries, mean that an outbreak of a new variant or existing variants of concern (VOC) or variants under investigation (VUI) cannot be easily identified before it is imported and seeded across the UK."
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said: "We've updated our travel lists further cautiously easing international travel.
"You can view the full list on GOV.UK with changes coming into force from Monday 30 August at 4am."
