A HUGELY popular festival is set to make its comeback this weekend with its biggest ever event.
After resorting to a virtual event in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Fudstock is returning to the fields in Barrow Island's Cavendish Park this Saturday - where an impressive 37 acts will perform across three stages.
DJ Todd Terry, the Grammy Award nominated House Music Legend from New York will headline the Dance tent fresh from a performance at the sold out Cream Fields festival. And Elvana, an Elvis fronted Nirvana tribute, will headline the main stage.
The Fudstock team has worked with the Barrow Island Community Trust and the Barrow Island community to stage an inclusive event.
After asking for feedback from the 2019 event they have made changes such as improved toilets and an increased range of bar options.
The festival started in 2018 to commemorate the life of Barrovian Richard Thorne AKA Fud. The Fudstock organising committee said: "Fud had a music festival dream, after such an uncertain year, we’re proud to have made a safe physical event a reality for local people to enjoy. We have worked tirelessly to stage the festival, but we could not have achieved it without kindness from people."
