A BARROW-born athlete was the only Brit to finish the men's marathon at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Forty-year-old Chris Thompson finished the race in 54th position in a time of 2-21-29.
Fellow Brits Callum Hawkins and Ben Connor did not finish.
Kenya's Eliud Kipchoge took home the gold medal, finishing in a time of 2-08-38 and defending the title he won at the Games in Rio five years ago.
