Readers react after it was announced that police are continuing to clamp down on drivers who try do avoid prosecution.
The force has revealed that it has a dedicated team working on the issue of divers attempting to pervert the course of justice and has promised it will look to prosecute anyone found trying to cheat the system.
Police are concerned that it could mean drivers who commit dangerous offences are still on the roads.
Sergeant Callum Young said: “We urge any drivers who are tempted to provide false details or information to think otherwise.
Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall said: “Speeding is a choice and drivers need to understand the devastating effects and risks they take by choosing to ignore national speed limits.”
Neil Probert said: "It's a pity that the authorities don't dedicate the same level of effort and resources to tracking down, prosecuting and imprisoning the significant number of active paedophile gangs targeting vulnerable underage girls, although that's probably down to the vast amount of money generated by fining speeding motorists."
Orangevanman said: "They do it just takes longer to get the necessary evidence"
Stability said: "I wish the police would use their speed cameras where I live. I have asked the County Council if they would put a speed limit on the road, answer was they have no money for that."
Norman G said: "They are too busy on the m6 and m61 (motorway being the safest roads in the country) as they can get far more cash
