HUNDREDS of people in South Lakeland were contacted by the NHS Covid-19 app and told to isolate in the latest week, official figures reveal.
The app warns people that they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.
People contacted through the app are advised to isolate for up to 10 days, although there is no legal obligation to do so.
Simon Baker said: "My eldest is being kicked out of their rented home because of a missed payment due to having to isolate for 10 days. Landlord doesn't want to know. There will be quite a few people in this sorry state forcing them into unnecessary poverty."
James Pitt said: "A lot of people in Barrow live hand to mouth and were only just hanging on by a thread before the pandemic. The mismanagement of the pandemic has also exacerbated many people's circumstances (mental/physical health, relationships, debt, homelessness, etc) to add to the mix."
Gary Billington said: "Three weeks to flatten the curve mutated into this farce and it cost billions of pounds. You can read about the food deliveries to supermarkets not being made and see for yourself. No milk in two supermarkets and no dog food in another mid-afternoon one day his week. Trouble in Australia being kept off main stream news as it is all wall-to-wall Olympics. Is this all being staged managed or a coincidence? Whatever, we are not going back to life as we knew it pre-March 2020. Our grandchildren will never enjoy the freedom we had, if that does not sober you up nothing will."
Helen Bach said: "Mass protests in cities across the world yet these seem to be missed by the MSM. But then the BBC didn’t notice thousands of people stood outside Broadcasting house shouting 'Shame on you' during the Lockdown protest in May - which they also missed. The MSM seem to have forgotten about naughty Sweden who followed the original plan and not the CCP plan. The Covidians will be along to demand to know what freedoms you foolishly think have been removed in their Communist utopia."
