Readers have had their say after emergency service personnel attended an incident where a man jumped from Jubilee Bridge into Walney Channel.
On Saturday 36 members of NWAS, Furness Coastguard & Barrow Lifeboat RNLI and the police attended the scene.
It is believed that the diver and another person with them were unharmed and were persumed to be jumping from the bridge for entertainment.
Stephen Kelland said: “Thirty-six people for some guys swimming – what a joke. Whoever called it in should be arrested for false report.”
Tara Haley said: “Everyone is doing this all over the country as half the people calling them out would have done something they weren’t meant to at some point of life.”
Michael Vandom said: “Time to change the law! 36 emergency services attended 360 hours.”

The Mail online readers said: “Four people should be serviced with a bill each for every emergency worker called out for the four people in the Channel.”
“Have your house burgled and no-one comes. This is an example of over-reaction and bad communication. Thirty-six people? Why?”
