Delays after temporary traffic lights get 'stuck on red'
MOTORISTS have been facing delays after temporary traffic lights stopped working.
Drivers are being urged to avoid Market Street in the centre of Dalton, where traffic is reported to be building up.
Temporary traffic lights near David Atkinson Car Sales are holding up traffic.
The AA's traffic map said: "Slow traffic on Market Street at the car dealership.
"Temporary traffic signals not working. In the construction area.
"The lights are reported to be stuck on red."
The problem was first reported around 9am today.
Cadent Gas has permission to carry out work on a section of the road until June 9.
