A MOUNTAIN rescue team has had a busy number of days with several callouts.
Rescuers were called to Low Pike, near Rydal, on Saturday when a fell runner sustained a lower leg fracture after slipping in a race. She was evacuated.
Langdale/Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team was then called out again, at around 10.30pm that evening, after two 'inadequately equipped' people became separated from the rest of their group on Crinkle Crags. They were located and escorted off.
On Sunday, a walker at Heron Pike, also near Rydal, slipped and sustained an ankle injury. She was treated and evacuated.
On Monday, a woman slipped on steep, muddy ground at Stock Ghyll, Ambleside. She injured her shoulder and leg and was evacuated.
And then, on Tuesday, two men who had become lost at Eskdale were recovered and returned to Langdale. This was a joint operation with Wasdale rescue team.
