A WOMAN told her husband in a suicide note she 'cannot see any way out', an inquest heard.

Police broke into the car of Lisa Brown after it was discovered in the Lake District - miles away from her home in Bolton where she had been reported missing from.

When police found the 46-year-old unresponsive in her car, they smashed a window and started chest compressions until paramedics arrived on the scene. But she was later pronounced dead.

A note recovered by detective inspector Edward Russell addressed to her fiancée Simon Dickinson said: "I am so sorry; I cannot see any way out. I love you and thank you for sharing your life with me."

Greater Manchester Police alerted the force in Cumbria who found her at Ash Landing Car Park, near Hawkshead, on the evening of November 23, Cockermouth Coroner's Court heard.

Her father Clive Varley wrote a statement alongside Mr Dickinson.

It explained how she went from success to success in her career. She was involved in student housing for more than a decade after leaving university and eventually saw her in the position of lead of partnership delivery at a student accommodation building company.

"She was always liked and respected by her work colleagues," the statement said.

"She was a lover of fashion and buying designer clothes as well as being a great lover of food and dining out in high-end restaurants.

"She was an avid spectator of many sports including football, Formula 1, golf and ice-skating."

She had a love of travel, particularly Las Vegas, and one of her proudest moments was purchasing her prized BMW, it said.

Toxicologist Phillipa Wood found carbon monoxide at 51 per cent in Miss Brown's blood which she said was within a fatal range. She also found small amounts of alcohol and morphine in her system.

A post-mortem report gave the cause of death as carbon monoxide poisoning.

Coroner Ms Kirsty Gomersal said: "It was clear that she was much-loved.

"She loved her dogs and walking them, after having recently getting a new Jack Russell.

"I accept all the evidence provided to me.

"I accept the cause of death given and that she died as a result of a deliberate act undertaken her actions alone.

"I feel she intended to take her own life."

Conclusion: Suicide.
