EMERGENCY services were called out after reports a woman had fallen and dislocated her hip.
North West Ambulance Service called Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team for assistance on Tuesday around 3pm after a woman had reportedly dislocated her hip in the Bardsea area.
The location was not accessible by road which meant the mountain rescue team had to attend for assistance.
Once on site, the team administered pain relief, before packaging the injured woman ready for a short stretcher carry out to the roadside and an awaiting ambulance.
There were17 team members who responded to the incident which lasted around two hours.
Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team would like to wish the casualty a swift recovery.
