A BARROW man has been put under curfew for a religiously aggravated offensive Facebook message.
Andrew Dimes, 53, of Lesh Lane, admitted to sending a grossly offensive message last September 20 which the bench at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court believed to be religiously aggravated.
Dimes was given a community order with the requirement of a four-week curfew which started last Tuesday. He must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am.
He also had to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and £85 in costs.
