A ROYAL Navy officer is under investigation after she was allegedly caught making indecent films with her partner at a nuclear submarine base.

Lieutenant Claire Jenkins, 29, who has commanded a team of sailors on HMS Artful, the Barrow-built Astute-class attack submarine, is accused of selling the videos on an adult website.

The warfare officer, who uses the name Cally Taylor on the website, posts explicit pictures and videos with her boyfriend Liam Doddington, also based at the Faslane submarine base in Scotland, according to reports in a national newspaper.

Royal Navy bosses at the Faslane base are investigating amid fears the couple could be blackmailed by foreign agents.

A number of their films may have been shot inside the top secret naval base on the Clyde before being sold on website Only Fans, according to the reports.

The Royal Navy is said to be investigating allegations that she has brought the navy into disrepute.

The navy investigation is also said to be looking at whether she is receiving a second income that has not been declared to the Ministry of Defence, which in itself could be a disciplinary matter.

Jenkins was the casing officer on board HMS Artful.

When the boat was on the surface, she would be on the fin in charge of the navigational safety of the boat. While submerged she would assist in maintaining the position of the submarine.

She was also reported to have been responsible for Tomahawk cruise missiles, covert insertions and embarking special forces at sea.

HMS Artful is the third of the seven Astute-class submarines to be built at Barrow.

The 7,400-tonne sub was commissioned in a ceremony in 2016.

Built at BAE Systems' shipyard, it moved to HM Naval Base Clyde in 2015 to undergo sea trials off the west coast of Scotland.

A Royal Navy spokesman said: “An investigation is under way and it would be inappropriate to comment further.

"Where personnel fail to act in accordance with our values and standards, we will not hesitate to take appropriate action."
