AN 84-year-old man was rescued after suffering a suspected broken leg.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team was called out to Hodge Close on Saturday afternoon after reports a man had slipped and broken his femur.
The team were sent out at 1.42pm where they handed the man over to the North West Ambulance Service.
A spokesman for Coniston Mountain Rescue Team said: "The team was called to an incident near Hodge Close on Saturday afternoon.
"An 84-year-old man had slipped and was suspected to have broken his femur.
"As the location was accessible by road, a very small team were assembled and brought the casualty back to base for hand-over to the North West Ambulance Service.
"The man was walking with members of his family bubble and had walked from his house around a mile away. Seven volunteer members attended this incident, which took just over two hours."
