A MOUNTAIN rescue team was called after a group was forced to abandon a campsite and became lost in bad weather in the Lake District.
A spokesman for Langdale/Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team, which was called out to the incident at around 10.15pm on Saturday, said the three men had been camping at Ecton Crag, near Grasmere.
The spokesman said the trio abandoned their campsite due to bad weather and became lost trying to find their way down.
They called for help and were escorted down by mountain rescuers.
