A SUPERMARKET has donated nearly 2,000 meals to help groups throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
Asda in Barrow has donated the equivalent of more than 1,900 meals to charities and community groups in the area in partnership with food charity, FareShare.
Throughout lockdown, the Walney Road store has been donating food directly to charities and community groups via its ‘back of store’ food donation scheme, totalling the equivalent of 1,965 meals to help those in need.
