THE High Sheriff of Cumbria is appealing to the public to support the Barrow Foodbank in its time of need.
Julie Barton said: “A huge thank you to all the volunteers at Barrow Foodbank who continue to work so hard to ensure those in crisis in our communities receive the food parcels they need.
“During the current COVID-19 restrictions, the foodbank is experiencing a large uplift in demand and would appreciate your support through donations at this time please.
“They are currently short of UHT juice, UHT milk, tinned spaghetti and tinned carrots.”
Donations can be made at the centre at Abbey Road Baptist Church, which has a collection point located outside.
Donations can also be made through supermarket collection points.
