COMEDY'S back in the spotlight at the Duke of Edinburgh next with a another terrific line up of laughter makers.
Barrow Comedy Club hosts a special Christmas fundraiser for YouthAbility, a charity that provides a variety of programmes, groups and projects for young people with and without disabilities.
MC for the side splitting show on Thursday, December 5, will be Glasgow-based comedian and actress Rachel Jackson, who made a splash with her full Fringe debut hour Bunny Boiler last year.
First in the spotlight will be Liam Tuffy, an up-and-coming comedian and co-host of Tuff House Podcast. His like-ability and calming stage presence is winning over audiences across the north west.
Following on is Aaron Wood, a new act who is already making waves on the comedy circuit. He's described as "talent way beyond his time on the circuit" for his dry, observational, story telling and relaxed stage presence.
Top of the bill is Callum Oakley. Liverpool born and with an Indian heritage, Callum started on the comedy scene at the tender age of 14 after attending a comedy course ran by fellow scouse comedian Sam Avery. Two years later Callum was thrust into the spotlight when at the age of 16 he made it to the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent. Since then Callum has become a regular face on the UK comedy circuit.
Described as a "star of the future" by David Walliams, Callum has also spread his wings overseas performing in Amsterdam, Cyprus and Australia where he appeared at the iconic Sydney Comedy Store.
The show starts at 8pm. Tickets are available from Duke of Edinburgh or online from TicketSource.
