CHILDREN from a Barrow school have spent the day at Barrow Library and Archives learning more about the history of the town.
Year six pupils from Ormsgill Nursery and Primary School had a very informative outing during their visit to Barrow Archives.
The children learned all about the growth of Barrow during the industrial revolution.
The children discovered where the old Iron works operated in Barrow, as well as where the workhouse was for those less fortunate Barrovians.
Barrow Archives are open to the public and have a fascinating array of resources.
Anyone wishing to visit and learn more about the town’s history can find the archives in Ramsden Square.
