THREE female bodybuilders from a popular Barrow gym triumphed at a competition.
Siobhan Rooke, Chelsea Crowe and Amanda Oglethorpe, who all train at Ironwerx Gym on James Freel Close, succeeded at a bodybuilding competition held at Ulverston’s Coronation Hall.
Miss Rooke won the bikini class, Miss Crowe won the Athletic class, while Miss Oglethorpe came third in the tone figure class.
Miss Rooke then went on to win the Bikini Class at the Nabba regional North West competition and got an invitation to the Britain finals.
She said: “I trained six times a week and my diet was massively restricted. It has been hard juggling my training with being a mum and my business, but it was well worth it.”
Chelsea Crowe has since won the IBFA Northumberland Show, came second in the PCA and has an invitation to the Britain finals.
She said: “The Ulverston competition went really well. I was told I’d be changing category at the last minute so had about five minutes to learn brand new poses but it worked out well in the end as I went on to win it.”
It was Miss Oglethorpe’s first year competing. She said: “It went really well and I am very happy with how far I have come.”
Keith Devlin, owner of Ironwerx gym, said: “I’m so proud of all of them for what they have achieved, both here at Ironwerx Gym and with their personal trainer Kade ‘Unit Body’ Kendall, who works exclusively from Ironwerx Gym.”
