A 46-year-old man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a horse.
The incident happened in Penruddock, near Penrith at 11.15am on Sunday.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to treat him for multiple injuries and he was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
It is believed that he injured his back, a leg, an arm, his pelvis and his chest.
His injuries have been described as serious and his condition stable.
