ROTHWELL Colin Died at home, 1st August, 2024, aged 92, following a short illness. Devoted husband of Sheila for 67 years, dearly loved father of Ian and Neil, and much loved father-in-law of Christine and Kim; cherished grandfather of James, Alice, Will, Sophie, Ben and Emily, and their partners, and doting great-grandad of Oliver, Sam and little Lizzie. He will be greatly missed. A biochemist formerly at Glaxo, then teacher at Barrow Grammar Schools and Sixth- Form College, Colin loved the coast, lakes and fells of Cumbria, and enjoyed many hours with Furness Model Aircraft Society. Funeral at Thorncliffe Crematorium, 1pm on Friday, 30th August, and afterwards at Barrow Golf Club. All welcome to celebrate and remember a full life, well-lived. Family flowers only, please; kind offerings in lieu to St. Mary's Hospice may be donated at the service or sent to Little and Caine. The family extend grateful thanks to Phil Hunter, Becky, and their teams for their compassion and kindness.
