MULLAN Joan (nee Tyson) Aged 96 years. Passed away peacefully at Furness General Hospital on Saturday , 18th November, 2023. Much loved wife of the late Bill, loving mum to Kath and Liz, treasured nana and great-nana to her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, a much loved sister, aunt and a friend to many. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Joan's life will be held at St Mary's RC Church, Ulverston on Thursday 30th November at 12.30pm. The family would like to thank staff at Park View Gardens for their kindness and also thank A&E, AMU and Ward 7 at Furness General Hospital for their care. Family flowers only please, donations if so desired to St Mary's Hospice. All enquiries to George Hall & Son, 9-11 Buccleuch St, Barrow, tel. 01229 820514.

My condolences to the family, particularly Elizabeth and Kathryn for their mom's passing. Bill and Joan were my next-door Neighbours in Moorgarth, Swarthmoor for many years; a nicer family one couldn't wish to live close to.
Comforting to hear she passed peacefully after such a long life. Without doubt, she will have left many people, including myself, with only pleasant memories.

Joan Mullan (nee Tyson) my 3rd cousin x 1 removed in my Coward Family Tree. Although I never met Joan in person, I have been in touch with her daughter Kathryn & her husband Brian for some years through Ancestry.
Joan was a beautiful lady and I will sadly miss getting updates about her life.
My sincere condolences to the whole family.
