ANDERSEN Roy A popular retired teacher from Dowdales School who passed away on Friday 17th November 2023, aged 95. Precious husband of the late Fran; treasured Dad to John, Brian and Julie. A loving and much-loved Grandad and Great Grandad who will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Friends, please meet for a celebration service of a life well lived at 11.30am on Monday 4th December at the Trevelyan Chapel, Dalkeith Street, Barrow. Roy was an inspirational man who I first met in 1962 whilst a student at Dowdales. Our friendship continued for almost 60 yrs. He was a very special man" one of a kind". Throughout the yrs we met. He followed my progress and always took an interest in myself, my family and career. Greatly missed
