PROBERT Neil Died suddenly, during post-op rehab near his home in Italy on 17 February 2023. Dearly loved husband of Elisabetta and father of Luca and Andrea, and a much loved brother and uncle, Neil was the son of the late Jenny and Bill Probert. A staunch supporter of Barrow AFC, his thoughtfulness, generosity of spirit and devastating ready wit will also be greatly missed by his family and friends in Barrow.

So sorry to hear the sad news about Neil. He was a friend from many years back who I had the pleasure of catching up with during Covid. His sense of humour hadn’t changed and we were both transported back to our days as apprentices in Vickers. Sadly we didn’t get to meet up in person.
