SMITH Merle (nee Bispham) Aged 88 years of Barrow and formerly Dalton passed away peacefully in Risedale Nursing home on 28th January following a long illness. Loving wife of the late John Bowman Smith and mother to Paula, Gavin and Martin, mother-in-law to Eddie, Angela and Michelle. Much loved grandma to Joseph, Victoria, Harriet and Alex. A service to celebrate Merle's life will be held at St Francis Church, Schneider Road on Wednesday 8th February at 1:00pm.
