BROWN George On the 6th January 2023. Died peacefully after a short illness aged 99 in Staveley House Care Home, Dalton. Father of Kenneth and Alan. His beloved wife Gladys (nee Lough) died on the 14th July 2021 during the Covid pandemic aged 97. A funeral and joint celebration of their long lives will take place at Thorncliffe (Barrow) Crematorium on Thursday the 9th February at 11.30am. Flowers most welcome or donations if desired to Guide Dogs for the Blind can be left at the service or sent via the Little and Caine website. A private laying to rest together will take place in South Shields, County Durham at a later date. Special thanks to all the staff at Staveley House Care Home, to Alyson at Posh Flowers, and to Gina Diaz for their help and support of our parents in later life.
