David HUNT

HUNT David 26th April 1943 - 19th October 2022 We are sad to report the death after a long illness of David Hunt, much loved dad to Lee and Barry. David died peacefully at Abbey Meadow Care Home. A familiar on the local football scene, he played for (amongst others) Barrow Celtic, Cartmel, Vickers and Barrow reserves. He then managed Celtic's junior team ending in a final at Holker Street which he remembered fondly in later life. Dave was a member of Barrow Squash Club and played regularly until his illness. We thank the staff at Abbey Meadow for the care he received. The funeral will be a private ceremony.
