BROWN Joan Aged 86 years, passed away peacefully, after suffering many years with Alzheimer's, at St. George's, Risedale at Lonsdale Nursing Home on 6th October 2022, surrounded by her family. Joan leaves behind William Brown, husband of 65 years. Mother of Raymond, Sharon, Lynne, Mandy and the late Carol, grandmother of eleven and great-grandmother to many. The family would also like to thank the staff at Kingsfield Residential Home and St. George's Nursing Home for the care and support given over the years, through the pandemic and especially in the last few weeks of Joan's life, providing the best possible care and ensuring she fell asleep with the dignity she deserved. Joan's funeral is on Friday 21st October at 11 am, the service will be at Abbey Mount Funeral Chapel, Abbey Road, Barrow in Furness.
