JACKSON Ronald 'Ceddy' On 9th June, suddenly at home in Market St, Millom, Ron ('Ceddy') aged 78 years, beloved husband of Sara, very dear father of Paul and Mark, father-in-law of Zoe and Maddie, grandad of Delta, India, Sol, Evan and Cole and good friend to many. The funeral service will be held on Friday 24th June at 2.00pm at Holy Trinity Church, Millom, followed by burial within Millom Cemetery. Family flowers only; donations in lieu towards the North West Air Ambulance and/or the North West Ambulance Service may be sent to Sheldon (Funeral Services) Ltd, Lapstone Road, Millom. Tel 772295.

Knew Ceddy through his love of horticulture. He was well respected for his ability to grow vegetables especially trench leeks. I believe he was National champion at Harrogate. Very knowledgeable ,very helpful. The judges knew it if he thought they'd got it wrong, which was often. RI P.
