THOMPSON Susan 67 years old, loving wife of Allan, cherished mum of Nicola and Chris, mother-in-law to Neil, Barrow mum to Heidi, nana to Caleb, Jaiden and Bailey, sister to Anita and the late Jackie, cousin, auntie and special friend of Tracey, Sandra and Peggy, friend and teacher to so many talented students. Susan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a short illness borne with great courage and fortitude. A service to celebrate Susan's life will be held at the Trevelyan Chapel, at 1- 3 Dalkeith Street at 1.00pm on Tuesday 17th May. Susan expressed a desire for family flowers only and bright colours to be worn for the service. Donations, if so desired, to St Mary's Hospice can be sent via the Little and Caine website. So sad to read this news about Susan. I grew up with her as a child in the early 1960’s in the Barnard/Newcastle backstreet and went to school with her at Abbotsmead junior school. I didn’t see a lot of her in our adult lives but when I did she always spoke to me and we had a laugh about the good old days. She was a lovely person. My condolences to Allan and family.
