MACKERETH Greg On 29th March, peacefully at Granville Court, Maryport, Greg aged 92 years, late of Queen's Park, Millom, beloved husband of the late Irene, father of Lee, grandfather of Lee, Ann, Daniel and Darren, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday 13th April at 10.45am, at St George's Church, Millom, followed by cremation at Thorncliffe Crematorium, Barrow. Family flowers only; donations in lieu towards the North West Air Ambulance may be sent to Sheldon (Funeral Services) Ltd, Lapstone Rd, Millom, LA18 4BZ, Tel: 01229 772295.

We have known Greg and his late wife Irene for many years, as we have an stall selling haberdashery on Barrow Market for over 45 years, and Irene was a wonderful dressmaker, and her and Greg were regular customers. Irene was a lovely lady, always loved a laugh and Greg was a true gentleman, he came to see us often, even after losing Irene, and loved telling us about his golf. They were a lovely couple. R I P .
