SHEPHERD Margaret (Mag's) Passed away peacefully in the loving care of the Staff at St. Mary's Hospice on 28th January 2022. Dearly loved wife of Colin, loving mother of Elizabeth, Richard, Hannah, Bethany and Thomas. Loving grandmother to Joe, mother-in-law, sister and aunty. Funeral service to be held at St. Cuthberts Church Kirkby on Friday 11th February at 12.30pm, followed by private family Cremation. Family flowers only please, donations if so desired to be divided between Cancer Research and St. Mary's Hospice and may be sent only to J L H Chorley Funeral Directors 28 Myrtle Terrace, Dalton, LA15 8BP Telephone 01229 463166.

I was so saddened to hear about Margaret’s passing. She was such a lovely friend and work colleague and I will always remember her with great affection for all the happy times we shared at north walney nursery. Thinking of you all Colin . Pauline clarke

Please accept my sincere condolences everyone. Margaret was a great colleague whom I first encountered when we were young teachers at Victoria Infants School in Barrow and then later on at South Walney Infant and Nursery School. She was great fun and so artistic- I still have a beautiful Christmas table decoration that she made which takes pride of place on the mantelpiece every year. I remember the children being delighted by the chick's, ducklings and even lambs that appeared in Margaret's classroom from time to time! She was a good teacher and such a genuinely nice person. I will always have fond memories of her. Thinking of you .
