ABERNETHY David John (Retired Senior Social Worker Cumbria County Council) of Yarlside Road, Barrow on 24th September 2021 aged 78 years, after a long illness with his family by his side. Soulmate of Margaret (nee Wilson), loving father and pal of Matt and the late Antony, dear father-in-law to Hayley, Aber (Grandad) to his cherished girls Eleanor and Georgia, much loved brother to Dan and Dympna, caring brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and confidant to many. Friends, please meet for a service on Wednesday 6th October at 11.30am at The Trevelyan Chapel prior to burial.
