EDWARDS John Founding Principal of Barrow-in-Furness Sixth Form College. It is with sadness that we announce that John passed away peacefully at his home in Fishguard Pembrokeshire, surrounded by his family on Wednesday 21st July. Devoted husband to Gaynor, cherished father to Tracey and Trilby and wonderful grandfather to Laura, Lucca, Edward and Leon. John will be greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and students. A service to celebrate John's life will take place on Tuesday 10th August at 2.30pm at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth. All are welcome. The funeral cortege will leave the house at 1.30pm. Family flowers only but if desired donations in lieu, to the Paul Sartori Foundation or Alzheimer's Research C/O Paul Jenkins & Sons Funeral Directors, Feidr Castell, Fishguard, SA65 9BB. There was a brilliant “can do” attitude and a buzz about the place,which was years ahead of its time- and in a large part due to his drive and vision.
